When we lift, sometimes it’s hard to tell if we’re standing in the right spot, dropping down low enough, or extending to our full capacity. This is why we are so excited to be launching Form Feedback today—a new way to get feedback on your strength training technique.
Our Form Feedback technology has been under development at Tonal for almost three years and takes advantage of up to 17 sensors in Tonal and our Smart Accessories to understand every rep. While camera technology alone can be prone to errors, we are investing in a fusion of sensor technology to bring you the most accurate form feedback system available today. In the coming months we will continue to bring more sensors online and are excited to expand the types of feedback and guidance we can deliver to our users.
Starting today, Tonal will provide feedback on:
Range of motion
Get technique feedback like maximizing the full range of a rep.
Be confident you’re set up exactly as you need to be.
Know when you need to slow it down or pick it up.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our Form Feedback approach uses sensor fusion technology with gyroscopes in our Smart Accessories and internal sensors to gauge where you are and how you’re moving with extreme accuracy. In the near future, we will also activate advanced camera technology that will provide a more reliable and accurate experience than anything currently on the market. All 170+ moves in Tonal’s library have an optimal method of performance and Form Feedback will guide you through each one. Software updates will make Tonal even smarter over time —we have big plans in the coming months for improving the world’s best strength training feedback, from the company that brought you the first and only digital weights on the market.
Whether you’re new to Tonal or have been an avid fan for a while, we can’t wait for you to start lifting your strongest with Form Feedback.
